Sector Groups

The Sheffield City Region LEP has established Sector Groups for seven sectors that are recognised as important to support the productivity growth and/or job creation in the City Region.  The Sector Groups and Chairs are as follows:

 

1.    Advanced Manufacturing and Materials, Pam Liversidge – Master Cutler

2.    Creative and Digital Industries, Professor Mike Holcombe – University of Sheffield

3.    Low Carbon, Nick Tovey – Wardell Armstrong

4.    Property and Construction, Alex Pettifer MBE

5.    Retail, Robert Lane – Lane Walker

6.    Sport, Leisure and Tourism – Yuri Matischen - MLS

7.    Healthcare Technologies, Neil Garner – Neo Garner Ltd.  Note - The Healthcare Technologies Sector Group will be formally established in Spring 2012.

 

The overriding purpose of the LEP Sector Groups is to provide advice and to facilitate economic growth in the sector within the Sheffield City Region by acting as an official advisor to the LEP.  The Sector Groups involve key businesses, local councils and the Chambers of Commerce from across the Sheffield City Region.

 

We are building a strong network across all of our region’s businesses and other stakeholders to create a coherent strategic direction for each sector.
