CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF THE SHEFFIELD CITY REGION LOCAL ENTERPRISE PARTNERSHIP

The Sheffield City Region (SCR) Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) was formed in late 2010 to lead the Coalition Government’s drive for growth in economic activity and jobs in the Sheffield City Region. The SCR LEP is a true partnership between the 8 Local Authorities which make up the City Region, the private sector and academia.

Due to the retirement of the present CEO, the SCR LEP is looking to appoint an individual capable of taking this relatively new and evolving organisation forward into an exciting period.  The successful applicant will need to evidence a track record of working at the highest levels with national and local Government, understand and demonstrate the importance of partnerships and collaboration and be able to and provide economic leadership and coherent communication to all stakeholders.

To succeed in this important role, the candidate will need to be an exceptional communicator and strategic thinker, diplomatic, focussed, patient, decisive and self motivated.  Reporting to and working closely with the Non Executive Chairman of the LEP Board, this is an influential and high profile role, which will prove instrumental in creating a positive economic legacy and lasting success for the whole City Region.
